The estate wines are produced from a selection of grapes organically grown on the Relais La Suvera estate. The Ricci Family, originally from Montepulciano, has a century-long tradition of wine production.
Giulio II is a Tuscany wine from vines specially cloned from Sangiovese, with Cabernet, and a second vintage partially from Merlot and Malvasia Nera, which is aged from 15 to 18 months, resulting in a rich bouquet of aromas and flavors. One would expect no less from its namesake, the great Pope Giulio II, known for his overbearing, unpredictable character, but capable of extraordinary sensitivity in his relationship with the arts.
L'Antico Bianco comes from the Trebbiano grape and Chardonnay, and whose peculiarities allow it to undergo an extraordinary evolution of organic characteristics as it ages, which results in a distinctively fruity allure.
